Hello everyone!
I think I should first start with a brief “about me”! My
name is Ashish Sangwan, originally from Bhiwani. I wrote the JEE in 2003 and
managed to get AIR 17. It has been a long time since that but still that
preparation period will for many reasons remain forever etched in my mind. I
got admission into the Computer Science and Engineering course at IIT Delhi. In
fact, for those of you who’ve read the last article by Mayank Kumar (AIR-27),
Mayank and me were not only from the same IIT, the same course and the same
year, we were roommates too! More about me: I passed out in 2007 and now I’m
doing my PhD at Georgia Tech, Atlanta,
US in Computer
Networks. |

Hi Guys!
This is Mayank Kumar. I appeared for my class 12th
examinations in 2003 and qualified the JEE exam in the same year, with AIR 27.
I took admission in the Computer Science and Engineering Course at IIT Delhi,
and passed out in 2007, that is last year. Currently, I’m working as a
programmer with Microsoft, Hyderabad.
In this article, I would like to share with you my experiences when I was at
your stage, preparing for IIT. |

One of the earliest known methods of encoding messages was the Caesar shift, also called the Caesar cipher. It is a type of substitution cipher in which each letter in the message is replaced by a letter some fixed number of positions down the alphabet.
In this article, we'll see how Caesar ciphers are made and then you'll be asked to break some codes!

Hi everyone! We know the fourth article in this series is quite delayed, but you’ll find it quite helpful nevertheless.
13th April. Not very far, we must say! Being this close to the exam, needless thoughts keep popping up in one’s mind all the time. What if I don’t clear the exam? What will my parents feel and my friends say? What if I get a poor rank? What if I have to drop a year? Etc. Etc. These thoughts trouble you even when you are trying hard to concentrate and study. With but precious little time left for the exam, wouldn’t it be great if you could improve your concentration and focus more on your studies, rather than brooding over things about which nothing can be done right now? In this article, we tackle this problem and talk about building concentration. |

The woods are lovely,
dark and deep.
But I have promises
to keep,
And miles to go
before I sleep,
And miles to go
before I sleep
